I use this to make my cinnamon atomic red hot candy. While you have to use an emulsifier/binding agent such as cornstarch, or flour, be careful of the temperature setting with the flower use the crack candy sets 50° lower than without flour. And I found that by using the cinnamon oil as the spicy hot flavor in my red hot candies, with a binding agent, gave me super nuclear fireball hot candies! That increased in heat the longer you sucked on them or if you crunch them your mouth exploded in a fire! I had to contact the manufacturer because it did not say FDA safe for food additive. My reply was they did not know how much to add to make it safe for food. But they did in fact affirm it is FDA safe for use in food flavor. I'm extremely glad of this product and will continue to use it! I usually use two teaspoons to a tablespoon to a gallon and a half of my cornstarch/sugar base for making hard crack candy. The scent is beautiful. It smells like a fresh bouquette of flowers! I already have their lavender, sage, and rose and will definitely be buying more scents!
