  • Falafel preparation method
  • Ingredients:
  • One pack 500 gm of Al Doha Crushed Beans.
  • 1 cup fresh parsley leaves, stems removed.
  • 1/2 cup fresh dill, stems removed.
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander, stems removed.
  • 2 big onions, 10 Stuffed garlic cloves.
  • 1 tbsp salt, ground cumin, hot powder, ground coriander,
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame seeds.
  • Vegetable or Canola Oil for frying.
  • Method:
  • 1-Soak crushed beans for 12 hours after washing it very well before cooking.
  • 2-Wash it well and remove the water.
  • 3-Place the fresh leaves of parsley, cilantro and dill in a large food processor. Pulse to finely chop the herbs.
  • 4-Now add the crushed beans, garlic and spices.
  • 5- Run the food processor 40 seconds at a time until all is well combined forming a smooth Falafel mixture.
  • 6-Scoop tablespoonfuls of the falafel mixture and form into patties (1/2 inch in thickness each).* It helps to have wet hands as you form the patties.
  • 7-Heat the oil on medium-high until it bubbles softly. Carefully drop the falafel patties in the oil, let them fry for about 3-4 minutes or so until medium brown.
  • 8-Serve falafel hot after decorate it with sesame next to other small plates; or assemble the falafel patties in pita bread with tahini or hummus, arugula, tomato and cucumbers. Enjoy!
